Meet Melissa - Our Treasurer

How long have you been a TL member? Since November 2016. Why did you join? We joined so that my daughter could enjoy a variety of educational and entertaining toys. In our current home we don't have a lot of space for toys, so this was a great option for us. Not to mention the toy library is a great way to meet new families in the community. What do you like about the Toy Library? The enormous variety of toys, the layout of the library makes returns & check outs quick & simple, and the friendly faces you're greeted with when you go there. What is your committee role and what does it involve? My role is Treasurer, which involves:

- monitoring cash balances

- paying bills

- preparing monthly finance reports

- collecting information for grant submissions

- submitting information to the ATO

- other ad hoc tasks that might pop up Do you have a favourite toy/type of toy? My daughter is really into babies & shapes at the moment. There is a kit with a baby, capsule & food utensils which she loved playing with. And any of the numerous shape sorting toys. Any tips for new members?

If you're new to the area, and don't have a lot of space at home for toys, there is a huge variety of fantastic toys at the toy library. The membership is great value in return for new toys every few weeks, you don't have to worry about storage or what to do with them when your child gets tired of playing with them - you just return them!
