How long have you been a TL member?

Since November 2017, I joined at the 2017 open day. Why did you join?

I loved the idea of being able to borrow a variety of toys for my boy to explore, discover his interests and build on them, without having to over stock our house! 

What do you like about the Toy Library? 

I’ve been working here for 3 years and I am still discovering new toys 

What is your committee role and what does it involve?

I’m the Toy Catalogue Coordinator so I see my job as trying to keep as many toys in the library as possible. I spend my time adding toys to the catalogue, reviewing toys and  getting the  back on the shelves as quickly as possible. I also try to ensure the catalogue we use is as complete and clear as possible, so members can find toys easily.

Do you have a favourite toy/type of toy? 

Building blocks and magnetic tiles are a favourite for pushing the imaginative building skills of my eldest. While musical instruments are a favourite for making noise and dancing with my youngest!

Any tips for new members?

Be sure to give each category a look, I’m still finding new types of toys in the treasure trove that is our toy library!
