Unlike Woody and Buzz, the toy library toys don’t have just one owner.
They are loved and played with by hundreds of kids, year after year.
2020 has been a strange year for our toys. They’ve been made to feel like they belong in your homes. Your kids probably feel that way too.
It is now time for the toys to come home. Our toys need to be shared around.
Here are a few tips for talking to your children about returning toys:
Remind kids – these are not our toys, we borrowed them from the toy library. We need to let other kids have a turn to play with them
Borrow something new – go online and choose some new toys to borrow when you come in to return
Remember you can re-borrow your favourites again sometime!
Consider adding favourite items to birthday or Christmas wish lists
Older kids might like to say goodbye to toys, and others might benefit from toys being packed up and put in the car at night when they are sleeping.
Please remember to clean your toys before returning.
Thanks for taking such good care of our toys, and for bringing them home.
