How long have you been a TL member?

Coming up to 2 years.

Why did you join?

We were members of our local toy library when I was a child & I remember loving getting to choose new toys to play with every visit. Now as a parent I can see how economical, space saving and environmentally friendly a Toy Library is. 

What do you like about the Toy Library?

The huge array of toys and games where we always seem to find something new and exciting. The wonderful community feel, it’s like a family and I love how many people we have met through the Toy library.

What is your committee role and what does it involve?

As Vice President my role is to support the President in the day to day running of the Toy Library as well as helping out when other committee members have to take leave from their roles. I also have a guilty pleasure in organising and re-organising the toys. 

Do you have a favourite toy/type of toy? 

My 3 year old loves anything that sparks imaginative play, whether it be using character sets to create her own stories or role play items. My 8 month old enjoys anything he can bang.

Any tips for new members?

Get involved! When you are on duty you get the best pick of toys that are being returned, it’s great!
